Yom Kippur(Day Of Atonement)

Tonight starting at sun down, we began another Jewish holiday. (Biblical Feast)

Leviticus 16:29-33 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourner among you: For on that day shall the priest make an Atonement for you to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead shall make the Atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments: And he shall make Atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the alter, and he shall make an atonement for the priest, and for all the people of the congregation.

As I'm watching this video and the Lord is showing me other things....I'm trying to keep up. I love when the Lord shows me new things! ❤

This meme is 100 percent accurate. Sometimes it is hard for me to keep up and I am sure that I miss a lot of things that the Lord is trying to show me. But I am praying that He will help me get it all out and help you all follow along! It might get confusing but ask the Lord and He will make it known unto you.

HERE WE GO!!!!

First of all, I want to remind you that, the Biblical calendar is different than our calendar. So the seventh month is Tishrei. So today, is the tenth of that month according to the sun and the moon. Today is the day of Atonement.

We are just going to break Leviticus 16:29-33 down.

16:29
Afflict your souls
This was also known as the day of the fast. The entire nation would fast this day. Yes fasting is a way for us to afflict our souls!!! But I looked into the word AFFLICT and this is what I found:

Afflict-(H6031) 'anah
A primitive root(possibly rather identical with H6030 through the idea of looking down or browbeating); to depress literally or figuratively, -abase self, answer [by mistake] chasten self, deal hardly with, defile, exercise, force, gentleness, humble, hurt, ravish, sing, submit self, weaken

Interesting! Afflict to me seems more like an admitting of our sins, being honest and real about what we are, sinners, being real about what we are struggling with. I am guilty of putting on a mask around certain people because I do not want them to know the things that I struggle with!
Something that is really interesting is when you add -im to Yom Kippur, you get Yom Kippurim, which is just like adding an S on to it. So it would make it Day of Atonements. Kippurim breaks down like Ki-purim. Ki-purim is another feast day. This feast they wear mask as a symbolism of concealment, like Mordeci and Esther!!!!!!! In a way, we take away the -im, we take away the mask  So cool. So it sounds like this feast, we have to get real about who we are!!!

Yom Kippur was the only day that the priest could go into the Holy of Holies to the Ark of the Covenant, MERCY SEAT (God's Presence)! He would see Him FACE TO FACE!
Another time that someone saw God FACE TO FACE was in Exodus when Moses went up to Mount Sinai to receive the 10 Commandments.
Another really cool thing!!!! I hope you guys are enjoying this as much as I am!!!
We know that there is going to be a "wedding" right? The Bridegroom and the Bride! Well in any wedding it is traditional for the Bride to wear a veil. When she removes the veil, she see's her Groom FACE TO FACE!

16:30
Priest

So we know that Jesus is our Priest when we get to the new testament. We can read that in Hebrews, Jesus being our final priest. Jesus is the one who makes Atonement for us and cleanses us from all of our sins. Thank you Jesus!

Atonement-(H3722) kaphar
A primitive root; to cover(specifically with bitumen); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel:- appease, make and atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile(-ligation)

16:31
It shall be A sabbath
A sabbath is a day of rest. Even if these feast days do not fall on THE sabbath, they are still to be a sabbath. This year it does fall on THE Sabbath. Remember the days were to begin at sundown the night before. So on Oct 11th (Tishrei 9th) at sundown until October 12th (Tishrei 10th) at sundown, is Yom Kippur! A day of Rest!

Statute For Ever
A statute is an ordinance, custom, also meaning APPOINTED!!!
FOR EVER!!!! That is a long time. It does not say until Jesus comes! It says forever. Now don't get what I am saying mixed up BECAUSE WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO BE LEGALISTIC AND TAKE THE BLOOD OF Christ FOR GRANTED!!!! But what I am saying is that we are to remember this Feast! Because this Feast is all about Jesus coming to take away our sins! Completely take them away. Nothing that we can do! But all because of what HE DID!

16:32
What stuck out to me in this verse was "shall consecrate to MINISTER IN THE PRIEST OFFICE IN HIS FATHER'S STEAD!
How many times in the new testament do we hear Jesus say that He is coming to do the will of HIS FATHER?
John 6:37-39 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
That is just one example. Jesus was anointed, appointed, consecrated by His Father to come in His Fathers will!

Put on the linen clothes, even the Holy garments:
Revelation 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Revelation 15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breast girded about with golden girdles.

Here we see the garments always being white. The Greek meaning of white is "light". White in the Bible represents righteousness. Proverbs 13:9 The light of righteousness rejoiceth: but the lampp of the wicked shall be put out.

BACK TO THE WEDDING! We know that it is tradition for a BRIDE to wear WHITE symbolizing that she is PURE!!!
Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such things; but that it should be holy and with out blemish.

Then I looked at Leviticus 13:17 (talking about leprosy) And the priest shall see him; and, behold, if the plague be turned into WHITE, then the priest shall pronounce him that hath the plague, he is clean.

When I looked into the word plague, it was a blow, A SPOT, sore, stricken, stripe

This stuff just blows my mind the way the Bible all comes together!!! I am definitely a Bible nerd!!!

Some more verses that I found about garments:
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life but I will confess his name before my Father, and before the angels.
Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that though mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed and that they shame of they nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve that thou mayest see.
****This verse reminds me of Genesis when we fell****Hope you can make the connection!
If not let me help you!!!!! When Adam and Eve are the fruit the knew they were naked.
They were ashamed! Because of their sin!

Up above I wrote out the many different definitions of the word Atonement! One of them was reconciliation. We have to be reconciled to that friendly relation we had with GOD before the fall!!!!

Colossians 1:20 And having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things to himself; by Him, I say whether they be things in earth or things in heaven.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

One thing that I heard they did on this day was cast lot on two different goats. Once the lot fell they would tie a scarlet (red, crimson) tie around its horn and send it out representing the sin leaving them. But others not wanting the sin would send the goat back to them. They would have to throw the goat over the cliff, and kill it. Sounds like a representation of our LORD AND SAVIOR having to die to carry our sins away from us.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, let us reason together, saith the LORD; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool.

After all of this, I just have to say Thank You LORD!!

These are some prayers which were prayed on this day...and probably still are which I thought were cool and worth sharing.

I have trespassed; I have dealt treacherously; I have robbed; I have spoken slander; I have acted perversely; I have done wrong; I have acted presumptuously; I have done violence; I have practiced deceit; I have counseled evil; I have spoken falsehood; I have scoffed; I have revolted; I have blasphemed; I have rebelled; I have committed iniquity; I have transgressed; I have oppressed; I have been stiff-necked; I have acted wickedly; I have dealt corruptly; I have committed abominations; I have gone astray, I have led others astray.

I repent for the sin which I have committed before You by hard-heartedness. For the sin which I have committed before You with immorality. For these sins, May the God who pardons, pardon me, forgive me, atone for me.
And for the sin which I have committed before You openly and secretly. For the sin which I have committed before You with knowledge and with deceit, For the sin which I have committed before You be deceiving a felllowman.
And for the sin which I have committed before You by improper thoughts. For all of these, God of pardon, pardon me, forgive me, atone for us. For the sin which I have committed before You by disrespect for parents and teachers.
And for the sin which I have committed before You by desecrating the Divine Name. For the sin which I have committed before You in impurity of speech. And for the sin which I have committed before You by foolish talk.
For the sin which I have committed before You with evil inclination. For all these, God of pardon, pardon me, forgive me, atone for me. For the sin which I have committed before You by false denial and lying.
And for the sin which I have committed before You by evil talk about another. For the sin which I have committed before You in business dealings.. And for the sin which I have committed before you through eating and drinking.
And for the sin which I have committed before You by a glance of the eye. For the sin which I have committed before You with proud looks. For all these, God of pardon, pardon me, forgive me, and atone for me.
For the sin which I have committed before You in passing judgement. And for the sin which I have committed before You by a begrudging eye. For the sin which  I have committed before You by running to do evil.
And for the sin which I have committed before You by tale-bearing. And for the sin which I have committed before You by causeless hatred. For all these, God of pardon, pardon me, forgive me, and atone for me.
You are the Pardoner of Israel And the Forgiver of sins in every generation, and aside from You we have no King who forgives and pardons. We thank You Lord that wee have forgiveness through the shed blood of Messiah Yeshua!!

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Today I will be removing my mask, being honest about my sin because I want to see Him Face to Face and I can only do that when I am righteous. Not saying that I'm not sinning , but by saying I am sinning, but Because of the Blood shed I am coming back to You! ❤️

Stuck in this season, because I can't let go

Do you ever feel like you are just failing in life? Like there is nothing that you can do right? I am going through a season that I have thought was over but apparently it is not. I believe God is ready for me to move onto the next season, but I am keeping myself stuck in this season. A few weeks ago, it felt like I was moving out of it. But here I am. STUCK!        Why have I not moved out of this season. I feel like I am sabotaging my entire walk with the LORD and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Maybe that is just it. Maybe I need to stop and just TRUST GOD. I feel like it is much easier said than done. Why is it so hard to trust God? I cannot seem to get out onto the first step, not matter how much I want to. I want to walk with the Lord, in everything that He has ordained for my life. But right now, it feels like I am missing it all. I think as humans we want to see the entire picture...but with God, we can't. If we saw the entire picture, we would not really be tr

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry

Have you ever heard something at one part of the day  and it kind of resonated with you but you just went on  with the rest of your day? Then later that day you hear  something of the same thing?  That happens to me all the time.  This is how I know God is trying to talk to me. There are no sure things a coincidences. If this happens to you, PAY ATTENTION! God is trying to tell you something.      I am bringing this up because I feel like it is a message that the church needs to hear. I have been feeling led to write this blog for days now, but have ignored the leading. Today I sat down, turned my computer on, only to learn that the battery had stopped working completely. I knew in my spirit this message needed to go out...so I went to WalMart to buy a new computer. The enemy knows this is how I share what God teaches me, so he attempted to stop it, but he did no prevail. Now I am sitting at my kitchen table with the power of the Holy Spirit in me and we are going to write this blog.
