REMEMBER MY FEAST DAYS
If you are anything like me, you are probably thinking, 'what is this lady talking about?'
Don't worry because I am about to tell you!
First of all, I am going to start by telling you that the Biblical calendar is not the same as the calendar we use, which is the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calendar is based upon the sun.
BUT.....
The Biblical Calendar is based on the sun and the moon. God tells us that.....
Genesis 1:14(KJV) And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Something that really blew me away was when you look into the word 'seasons', it is mo'ed. Mo'ed means an appointment, a fixed time or season, specifically a festival; conventionally a year, an assemble; technically the congregation; the place of meeting; a signal; FEAST; appointed time.
So anytime you see any of those words in the Bible, it would be mo'ed.
For example, in Leviticus 23:37 These are the FEASTS of the, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer and offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon this day:
That word feasts is H4150 in the strong's concordance which is the same as the word 'seasons' which we just read about.
Now we know that there are appointed days! Appointed by the LORD!
God never does anything just because or just for fun. There is a reason why these holidays are in the Bible. And it is up to us to figure it out!
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God is conceal a thing; but the honor of kings♔ to search out a matter.
I am writing this today because we are just now celebrating The Feast of Trumpets
Leviticus 23:23-24 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of Trumpets, an holy convocation.
There is a lot to learn about this feast day. The word "trumpet" in Hebrew is teruah. Teruah means clamor, acclamation of joy or a battle cry: especially clangor or trumpets, as an alarm: rejoicing, shouting.
I love when I get to know more about the Hebrew meaning of the Word of God. Things had to be hidden...and I am grateful that He allows me to search them out. Truly is an honor! I also have to be careful to not take in everything that I hear, unless I can find proof in the Bible. I suggest you all do the same as well. Do not just take my word for it, SEARCH IT OUT! You will have a BLAST 🎺🎺🎺 ( Ahaha Pun intended)
If you just read all the times the Bible speaks of the trumpets, MIND BLOWN!!! 💥💥For real. I dare you to do it! I wish that I had the time to type them all out, but I am going to give you a couple.
Joel 2:1-2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the mourning spread upon the mountains; a great people and a string; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall any more after I, even the years of many generations.
THE ONE THAT REALLY GOT ME WAS THIS ONE....
Zephaniah 1:14-16 The great day of the LORD in near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That say is a day of wrath, a day or trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of the TRUMPET and ALARM against the fenced cities, and against high towers.
The Trumpet used is a RAMS HORN! I remember reading about a RAMS HORN in the Bible.
Psalm 98:6 With trumpets and sound of cornet(Shofar-ram horn) make a joyful noise before the LORD, the KING!
It makes me think of Genesis 22:!3 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of is son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Jehovahjireh- Jehovah will see ((to it))
I have really enjoyed learning about this holiday. I feel like there is still so much to uncover! I pray that you will start to search and learn more about it! And please let me know what you find out! I have heard a lot about this "Feast Day" but like I said I do not want to share it unless I have scriptures to back it up!
And there are a couple more feast days coming up this month, so I will be sharing what I learn about them!
My prayer for us today is that we never just become so full we stop searching. God you have made Your Word so deep and You have given to us the privilege to search it out. Let us not take that for granted. May we search the scriptures and be proven worthy. May we share what we find instead of being stingy. Lord help us to know when to share and when to not share. Almighty God, may you give us the eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart that understand the true meaning of your Word, when we are worthy enough! Thank you Father, for being mysterious and fun! I love reading Your Word and pray others find such a great time uncovering these things as well.
PS The Lord used Mark Biltz to reveal some of this to me. I take a lot out of it, but I said it before and I'll say it again....I only take what I can find scriptures for that line up!
Why did he set these holidays and tell us to REMEMBER them? Not that I believe that we must celebrate them as the Hebrews do, but it is fun, but God did want us to remember this day!!! WHY??
